The ONLY egg salad recipe you will ever need

You can easily learn how to make an egg salad sandwich with this great recipe from Delish. Sometimes you just crave a good old-fashioned, classic egg salad sandwich. Instead of getting one from the deli or a cafe, you can learn how to make an egg salad sandwich fresh at home. There's really nothing quite like a real, homemade egg salad sandwich either. You can add the ingredients you like and make it just how you like it. While the recipe for egg salad sandwiches may seem complex, it's actually pretty easy once you learn all of the steps. First off, you need some good eggs. The best eggs to buy are going to be organic, free-range eggs. These will be from pasture-raised hens who are raised humanely and fed a good healthy diet and who aren't given many or any antibiotics or hormones. Caged hens are usually given antibiotics to keep them from getting sick since they are kept in such close quarters with exposure to their own and other chickens' waste. The hormones are given to keep the chickens producing more eggs so that a steady supply is always guaranteed even when the chickens aren't naturally producing eggs. So the best eggs to buy will have the words organic, free-range, cage-free and pasture-raised on the carton.

Next up, you need to learn the proper way to boil eggs to make the egg salad sandwiches. The best way is to put them in a medium pot with water covering them and then set the temperature on the burner to high. Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-high and allow the eggs to boil in the water for 12 minutes. Once the 12 minutes is up you can remove the pot from the stove and place it in your sink. Then run some cold tap water over the eggs until the pot is cooled down or for one minute. You can then leave the eggs in the pot in the sink with cold water and add some ice in to cool them down. Or you can place the pot with the cold water and eggs in it in the fridge for 20 minutes or so to cool down completely. Once the eggs are cool enough, you can then carefully peel them. Just crack the shell on a hard surface or with a knife and then peel off the shells and throw them in your compost or the garbage. You can also use the shells around tomato plants to give them some nutrients.

For this recipe you will need eight peeled hard-boiled eggs, you'll also need some mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, celery, chives, paprika, lettuce and the bread of your choice. If you're gluten intolerant, you can use your favourite gluten-free bread too. Take your hard-boiled eggs and chop them up and place them in a bowl. Then you can mash them up a bit with a fork and then add in the mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, celery and chives with some salt and pepper and mix everything until the ingredients are well combined. Then just take your bread and spread some mayonnaise on it and then scoop some of the egg salad onto one half of the bread and then sprinkle some paprika and top with lettuce and then place the other piece of bread on top of that and cut the sandwich in half.
