Mice can be a big problem if they're getting into your home. If you have a lot of mice in your home, you know how tiresome it can be to find a way to get rid of them. If you're against harming them in any way, it could be harder to find ways to humanely deal with them too. Most of the ways to get rid of mice include traps that kill them or poisons that kill them which are not very humane at all. Good thing there are other people out there who would rather be humane to these little critters than kill them, so there are some great natural remedies and diy ideas for getting rid of mice. One of the things mice can't stand is actually plain old peppermint oil. Just more recently people have been discussing the powerful effects of peppermint oil on mice and other pests too.

Since peppermint is such a strong scent, the smell of it is very harsh to smaller creatures who have a very sensitive sense of smell. This works great because usually, humans don't mind and even love the scent of peppermint oil, so you won't mind having it around. The peppermint oil also restricts their sense of smell, and kind of messes it up, so they won't actually be able to find their food source as easily because the scent of the peppermint is so overpowering to them. Peppermint essential oil is going to drive these pests away from your home in no time; you just need to know how to use it properly, so it will be effective. Also, you want to make sure you're getting the pure peppermint essential oil, so always buy from a good source, so you know it will be effective. First, you're going to locate where the mice are hiding in your home. A simple way to do this is to search for their droppings which will be very small and oval in shape. Some of the most common areas for them to hide will be behind your refrigerator, inside the cabinets or drawers, and in storage areas like closets. They may also be in your bedroom too making a nice bed out of your socks in your sock drawer.

Once you've found out where they're hanging out, just put a few drops of the pure peppermint oil onto a clean cotton ball place them in the areas where they are most active. Place as many as you want to around your house and leave them to work their magic. Just be sure to replace them every month or so as the scent wears off. Hopefully, soon you'll be finding fewer traces of the mice as they will vacate your home to get away from the powerful smell of the peppermint. Now that you have the peppermint oil, there are also some other natural remedies you can use your oil for. When it comes to natural remedies for stomach issues, peppermint is a great essential oil. You can add a few drops to some coconut oil and rub it on your stomach if you have a stomach ache and it will relax and sooth your stomach. It's also great for colds and stuffed noses as well as asthma. You can mix it with some carrier oil such as coconut oil and rub it on your throat and chest. So try these natural remedies and diy ideas to get rid of mice the natural way and share with anyone you know who has a mouse problem in their home.***
