If you are lucky enough to have a self-cleaning oven, you know all to well how great that works at magically baking off all the dirt and grime. The oven door doesn't seem to get cleaned in the self-clean cycle, and usually, you will be left with a stubborn, grimy glass door. Thankfully that is easy to remedy with a simple natural oven cleaning paste make with baking soda and water. You probably already have the baking soda in your kitchen cabinets. To start, you will want to make the paste to a consistency that is not too runny and not too thick, something in between. Once you've made the paste, you can spread it on the glass part of the door, when it's opened flat. It's better to have the paste a little bit thick so you can spread it nicely on the dirt and grime and it will stay put without dripping off. You also might consider sprinkling the baking soda directly on the glass then spraying it with water. And if you don’t have a spray bottle, you can simply splash some water on it. You can see as soon as you spread the mixture that the grime will start coming off. After letting it sit for ten minutes use a wet sponge to wipe all of it away, and the glass will be clean. You may not even have to wait all that long for it to start working. Clean up the baking soda paste and your oven door will be like new again.
