When you have a big cleaning job to do and feel overwhelmed, sometimes you don't make the best judgement calls, like mixing cleaning products. Here is a list of Cleaning Products You Should NEVER Mix, for your and your family's safety! I have honestly mixed certain products together, hoping that they would produce better and faster cleaning results. But more often than not, it was no better than each of the products on their own... Like vinegar and baking soda, it is totally fun to watch them fizzle in the toilet or the bath tub, but don't leave the 2 products in a bottle together, because it could totally explode over time!
The other thing, that I honestly wouldn't have thought of, is mixing 2 different kinds of drain de -clogger together... I mean, you think logically, because they both do the same thing, they would be fine to mix together, right? That's totally what I thought too, but I guess different brands have different amounts of chemicals in them or different types of chemicals all together, so you just never want to take a chance on it and possibly blow up your pipes or something. Even though that is probably pretty unlikely... it is best to air on the side of caution.
You might also think that mixing bleach and vinegar together would be ok, because vinegar is all natural, but, together they can be deadly, and this post tells us why it is not a great idea to ever combine the two! There is also one very good rule that they add at the very end, so make sure to read it all the way through so you can find out!
