Vinegar is a very healthy cleaning alternative to chemical products, and it's been used for house cleaning for decades. Instead of bringing harsh chemicals and toxins into your home, you can feel safe about using vinegar instead since it's completely non-toxic and it's also totally natural. Plus, it’s very affordable, and you can find it pretty much anywhere. Just look for white distilled vinegar in the grocery store in the aisle with all of the other salad vinegar and oils. You can purchase a large bottle of white vinegar for about $5 or so, and it will help you make a bunch of different natural house cleaners and can be used for a number of cleaning tips. For starters, one of the cleaning tips from Carrie of Making Lemonade is a grout cleaner that uses vinegar as one of the ingredients. So if you're tile grout in your shower or flooring looks really dirty, you can try using vinegar and other natural house cleaners to clean it. All you need to do is sprinkle baking soda all over the grout making sure it gets into the crevices. Then fill a bottle with some plain white vinegar and spray the baking soda with it until it starts bubbling up. Allow it to bubble and fizz for 5 minutes or so and then take a toothbrush or a grout cleaning brush and start to scrub the grout really well with it.

When you're all done cleaning the grout use rags to wipe away the dirt and grime and then clean once more with a cleaning solution of your preference and dry well. You can also use vinegar to clean our your sink too. Using baking soda with the vinegar again you can scrub up your sink to a sparkling shine. Just as you did with the grout cleaner sprinkle some baking soda all over the inside of your sink and then spray on the vinegar and let it fizz. Then take a scrubbing pad and scrub all of the grime away. Then rinse it all down the drain, and it will help to deodorize your drain as well. If your sink drain is clogged, you can also use baking soda and vinegar to unclog it. Just press some baking soda down the drain and then pour a good amount of vinegar in on top of it. Let it fizz and place your stopper in the drain to hold all of the fizz in. Leave it for an hour or longer and then take some boiling water in your kettle and pour it down the drain followed by a steady stream of hot water from the tap to loosen up any debris and flush the drain. You can also use these natural house cleaners and cleaning tips for your garbage disposal as well, and it will get rid of that nasty odour.

Use equal parts of dish soap and vinegar in spray bottle to spray down your shower tile and your bathtub. Let it soak for an hour and then return to wipe it away and then rise with hot water. You won't even need to scrub very hard when you use this cleaner. You can also use baking soda in your bathtub to scrub off any stuck on soap scum. Baking soda works as a great natural abrasive cleanser which is better than using the chemical powder cleansers. If you have hard water stains in your shower or bathtub vinegar also works wonders on them too. Try out all of these cleaning tips and see how well they work for you.***
