No one in their right mind loves cleaning, right? But we all love a clean home! That’s why it’s always important to seek out dirt in all of its ingenious hiding places when we are cleaning our house. And to help us with these hiding places, here’s a great article from Good Housekeeping - 10 Places In Your Home That You Should Be Cleaning But Aren't!
“Come out, come out, wherever you are… Where can that dirt be hiding?” Well, try underneath the fridge, for starters. You have no idea just how much food can roll under there in the run of a day, week, month… Year! It’s a good idea to roll it out once a month or so and give the floor a good sweep. And, if liquid spills have gone under the fridge, you will probably want to mop there too!
And while you’re rolling the fridge around, you should probably roll the couch out too. This could be a far greater dirt refuge, especially if you have kids – and even more so if you have dogs or cats. Pretzels, chips, popcorn, furballs, lost toys, and maybe even some change, if you’re lucky! Be sure to clean the couch upholstery too. Take out all of the pillows and give the inside a good vacuum. Couches tend to be money magnets, so at the end of it all you could be a heckuva lot richer!
Another dirt hideaway? Try your toilet flush. Now this is a critical one because it’s used so often and can be harbouring some very serious germs if it is not cleaned on a regular basis. This one needs to be cleaned with a good anti-bacterial formula or try vinegar – it will annihilate any bad bacteria and shine it up really nice.
